1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using CvSnap ("the Application," "the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of the terms, then you may not access the Application.
These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Application.
2. Description of Service
CvSnap is a client-side resume/CV builder application that allows users to:
- Create professional resumes using 20+ pre-designed templates
- Customize color themes and layouts
- Add personal information, work experience, education, skills, and more
- Preview resumes in real-time
- Download resumes as PDF files
- Manage multiple CVs using browser local storage
The Application operates entirely within the user's web browser and does not require any backend server or internet connection for core functionality.
3. License
3.1 Regular License
The Regular License grants you, the purchaser, an ongoing, non-exclusive, worldwide license to use the Application, subject to these terms:
- You may use the Application for personal or commercial purposes
- You may modify or customize the Application for your own use
- You may use the Application in a single end product for yourself or one client
- You may not redistribute, resell, or sublicense the Application's source code
3.2 Extended License
The Extended License includes all rights granted under the Regular License, plus:
- You may use the Application in a product that is sold to end users
- You may deploy the Application as a SaaS (Software as a Service) offering
- You may use the Application in multiple end products
4. User Responsibilities
As a user of CvSnap, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and truthful information in your resume
- Use the Application in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Not use the Application to create fraudulent, misleading, or deceptive resumes
- Not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Application beyond what the license permits
- Not use the Application to distribute malware, spam, or any harmful content
- Take responsibility for backing up your own resume data
5. Intellectual Property
5.1 Application Ownership
CvSnap, including its source code, design, templates, documentation, and all related intellectual property, is owned by the developer and protected by copyright laws. The purchase of a license does not transfer ownership of the intellectual property.
5.2 User Content
You retain full ownership of all content you create using CvSnap, including your resume text, formatting choices, and generated PDF files. We do not claim any rights over the resumes you create.
5.3 Template Designs
The resume templates included in CvSnap are part of the licensed product. While you may use them to create resumes, you may not extract and sell the templates separately or as part of a competing product.
6. Data and Privacy
CvSnap stores all user data locally in the browser's localStorage. We do not collect, store, or process any personal information on our servers. For more details, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
Important: Since all data is stored in your browser's localStorage, clearing your browser data or using a different browser/device will result in loss of your saved resumes. We recommend downloading PDF copies regularly.
7. Third-Party Libraries
CvSnap incorporates third-party open-source libraries, including but not limited to:
- html2canvas — Licensed under the MIT License
- jsPDF — Licensed under the MIT License
- Google Fonts — Licensed under the SIL Open Font License / Apache License 2.0
These libraries are subject to their respective licenses and terms of use.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Application is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding:
- The accuracy, reliability, or completeness of the Application
- The suitability of the resume templates for any particular purpose
- The compatibility of generated PDFs with all PDF viewers
- The success of job applications made using resumes created with the Application
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Application
9. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall CvSnap, its developers, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Loss of data or resume content due to browser storage clearing
- Damages resulting from inaccurate resume content created by the user
- Lost job opportunities or professional damages
- Any damages arising from the use or inability to use the Application
10. Refund Policy
Refund policies for purchased licenses are governed by the marketplace where the Application was purchased (e.g., CodeCanyon/Envato Market). Please refer to the marketplace's refund policy for details.
11. Updates and Support
- Updates: License holders are entitled to free updates for the lifetime of the product
- Support: We provide support through the designated marketplace support channels
- Response Time: We aim to respond to support requests within 24-48 business hours
12. Termination
We may terminate or suspend access to the Application immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.
All provisions of the Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where the developer resides, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
14. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect.
What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. By continuing to access or use the Application after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid, such provision will be changed and interpreted to accomplish the objectives of such provision to the greatest extent possible under applicable law, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
