  • Your resume data never leaves your device
  • No data is transmitted over the internet
  • No data is stored on our servers (we don't have servers for user data)
  • Clearing your browser data will permanently delete your saved resumes

2.3 Automatically Collected Information

If you access CvSnap through a hosted website, basic web analytics may be collected through standard web server logs, including:

  • IP address (anonymized where possible)
  • Browser type and version
  • Pages visited and time spent
  • Referring website URL

3. How We Use Your Information

Since your resume data remains entirely on your device, we do not use, process, or have access to your personal resume information. The application processes your data locally to:

  • Render live previews of your resume
  • Generate PDF downloads within your browser
  • Save and manage multiple CV documents locally
  • Apply template and color theme preferences

4. Third-Party Services

CvSnap uses the following third-party libraries that load from CDN servers:

  • html2canvas — Used for capturing resume preview as an image (runs client-side only)
  • jsPDF — Used for generating PDF files from the captured image (runs client-side only)
  • Google Fonts — Used for typography (Inter, Outfit font families)

These libraries are loaded from their respective CDNs and operate entirely within your browser. They do not collect or transmit your resume data.

5. Data Security

We take appropriate measures to protect your information:

  • Local-only storage: Your data never leaves your browser
  • No user accounts: No passwords or authentication credentials to protect
  • No data transmission: Resume content is never sent over any network
  • Client-side processing: All PDF generation happens in your browser

However, please note that browser localStorage is not encrypted. Anyone with physical access to your device and knowledge of browser developer tools may be able to view your stored resume data.

6. Your Rights and Choices

You have complete control over your data:

  • Access: All your data is stored in your browser's localStorage and is accessible to you at any time
  • Delete: You can delete individual CVs through the application or clear all data by clearing your browser's localStorage
  • Export: You can download your resume as a PDF at any time
  • Portability: Your CV data can be exported as JSON for backup purposes

7. Children's Privacy

CvSnap does not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through the application, please clear the browser's localStorage on the device.

CvSnap uses localStorage (not cookies) to save your preferences and resume data. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party cookies for data collection purposes.
